Write for us
We welcome clear, original pitches that help readers understand rugby. A strong proposal begins with one specific question about the game and explains why answering it would make a match, role or rule easier to follow.
Ideas we welcome
Pitch explainers on laws, positions, tactics, formats or match-reading habits. We are especially interested in a distinct angle with a clear reader benefit, rather than a broad survey or a running recap. Proposals should be suitable for general readers and should not depend on invented examples or unsupported claims.
What to include
Tell us the working title, central question, intended reader and a short outline of the main points. Note any format-specific details the piece depends on, and disclose relevant commercial interests. A short summary of your writing experience is useful, but pitches should stand on the idea rather than credentials.
How to send a pitch
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Please pitch the idea before sending a full draft. We cannot promise publication or a reply to every proposal, and an accepted pitch may need editing for clarity, scope and accuracy.
